I decided to write my own because the one that ships with quarto is quirky and does not come with room for customization - a few of the problems I would like to solve are enumerated below:

  1. The watcher does not rebuild qmd files depending on a filter when the filter is changed. To this end, when the filter is updated I would like its corresponding page to be updated when there are changes in its filters.
